The honest question
You can, and for a quick glance you probably should — a good neighbour is worth a lot. It's the things a favour can't do that we're built for.
Sharma ji will tell you it looks fine, and he'll mean it. He won't open the meter box, run the geyser for ten minutes, or get down and feel under the bathroom sink — and you'd feel rude asking him to. An inspector does all forty-two of those things because that is the job.
Someone doing you a favour softens it. 'Thoda seepage hai, ho jayega.' An inspector is paid to write down exactly what's there, photograph it, and is rated by you afterwards on whether they did.
Every visit runs the same checklist in the same order, so the next report lands beside the last one. 'Damp patch on the north wall: 4 cm in March, 11 cm in July' is a fact no one-off favour can ever give you — it only exists because both visits were done the same way.
Four months apart, same inspector prompt, same photo angle. That comparison is the whole product — and it is the one thing a favour, however kind, can never build for you.

What the two of us are building
Between the two of us there's a house outside the city, a plot in a village, and a car parked in another state. Every one of them has cost our families money that a single honest look would have saved — and for years the only update either family got was somebody saying sab theek hai. Meant kindly, every time. Proof, not once.
So we know exactly what we're asking of you in return, and we don't take it lightly. A website with good words on it is not a reason to hand a stranger your keys. We wouldn't do it either.
Which is why what we're building is narrow on purpose. One verified person, standing inside your property on a day you picked, producing evidence you can check yourself — the actual room, on video, with a time on it. Not an estimate, not a summary, not somebody's opinion. Get that one thing right in every city we open, and any owner anywhere should be able to know the truth about a place they can't reach, within the hour, without booking a flight and without taking anyone's word for it.
Until we've earned that, here's our side of it in plain terms. Whoever walks in is police-verified and gets in only with your OTP. Every room is on video, and you can watch it live. And if anything ever goes wrong on a visit, it's ₹1,00,000 from us — not an argument about whose fault it was.

In writing
No repair, no cleaning, no part is bought without your yes on the exact amount. A flagged issue is a question, not an invoice.
Change your mind on a yearly plan in the first 30 days and we refund 75% — a flat 25% is retained. No questions and no retention call.
Theft or damage during a visit is ours to pay, not yours to prove. It has never come up — the promise stands anyway.
We don't broker tenants and we don't mark up bills. The provider's quote + a flat 10%, shown to you before you approve.

How this started
Raj's family paid for their house twice over — once in flights, once in repairs. He brought the idea to Naitik, who recognised it before the call was over. Here's each of us, in our own words, not a company voice.

We were paying for that house twice. Once in flights, once in repairs.
My family's property is outside the city. Papa had his job, Mummy ran the house, and between the two of them a free weekend to go and check on it never really came. So we didn't go. Months would pass. And a house nobody walks through doesn't just sit there quietly — it goes bad slowly, in the exact way that costs a lot to undo later.
Every few months the worry would win and my parents would make the trip anyway. They'd find whatever had been waiting for them, spend on getting there, and then spend again getting it repaired — always more than it would have cost to catch early. Between trips the tension never actually left. It just sat at the back of their day, all year.
So they tried the obvious fix and put it on rent, hoping someone living in it would keep it alive. Then Papa visited. The tenants weren't looking after it either, and the rent was coming late, or not at all. Now my parents had two things to worry about instead of one.
Watching them carry that, year after year, is where this came from. Not a market gap — my mother and father. If one person we trusted could walk through that house on a fixed day, photograph everything and just tell us the truth, the whole thing stops being a worry and becomes a solved problem. I researched it until I was sure, then took it to Naitik.
I was also deliberate about one thing: I wanted to build something with real logistics inside it. A pure software product can be cloned in a weekend now — AI will write the app for you. A verified human being who actually turns up at your door, in your city, on the day they said, cannot be copied like that. The hard part is the moat, and it's also the product.
The land and the car aren't extra features we brainstormed. Papa's land is in the village and he is genuinely afraid someone will encroach on it — he can't get there, and even when there's a function at home, making the trip is difficult. And because he lives in Bhopal while the car stays in Indore, mice got into the wiring and chewed straight through it. That repair bill is the reason cars are on this site. Every one of these is something my family has already paid for.

Raj was three sentences in and I already knew how it ended. We'd lived the same thing.
Raj called me about this on a day that was supposed to be about something else entirely. He got maybe three sentences in — a house the family can't get to, a condition nobody can actually verify — and I stopped him, because I already knew how the story ended.
I'd watched a version of it at home. A place that stays shut, a neighbour or a relative who says sab theek hai because that is the kind thing to say, and then a bill months later for something that was small in March and expensive by August. Nobody in that chain is lying to you. They simply have no way to show you the truth, and you have no way to ask for it without sounding like you don't trust them.
That's the part I couldn't put down. The problem isn't that people don't care about your house. It's that caring produces a thumbs-up, and a thumbs-up is not evidence. So the thing I push hardest on in what we build is proof — the actual room, on video, with a time stamped on it, that you can open at 11 PM from another country and finally stop wondering.
And Raj had already done the thinking on the half that isn't software: real people, verified, physically showing up. Left alone I'd have built an app and called it a product. He'd already worked out that the app is the easy half. That's when I knew this was worth doing properly — and worth doing with him.
